This was without a doubt the best place we stayed in Thailand! Getting there: if you arrive at a nearby airport, the owners can arrange airport transfers for you - just talk to them beforehand! If you arrive by another ferry, the resort is 15 min walk from the pier or 5 minutes on motorbike taxis (there will be some waiting, it‘s 50 THB per person) The hotel itself: The bungalows were spacious and had lots of light, they consist of a bedroom and bathroom (there is also one for 4 people, we stayed in one for 2). There is a double bed with nightstands, a mini fridge, a desk with a stool (and a kettle with instant coffee/tea), a clothing rack and a suitcase stand. The AC worked well and the towels provided were very soft. The bathroom was clean and everything worked well - there is no shower curtain but the towel holder is far enough away and if you put your clothes on top of the toilet, they don‘t get wet at all. Shampoo, shower gel, conditioner and a hair dryer was provided. You also have a small patio with two chairs, a table and a drying rack for your clothes. The owners are very kind and can give you lots of local tips (beaches, hikes, restaurants, tours). Other services: you get one free bottle of water per person a day and there is a free water refill station. breakfast is available upon order and was very good. You can also buy several cold drinks. There is a booklet in the bungalows with what they can organise for you (tours, snorkel equipment rentals, laundry service, bug spray, …). They can also arrange for a scooter rental from the place next door (200 THB per day) although the owner did mention wanting to get a few scooters for the resort next season. If you plan to go to Charlie Beach, definitely get a scooter! Location: the area is very quiet and safe, everything in town is walkable (max 15 minutes). If you don’t want to walk at all, get a scooter! There is also a beach at Coco Beach Bar about four minutes walk away if you don‘t want to go far.
